SAURAV GHOSAL KNOCKED OUT IN THE PRE-QUARTERFINAL ROUND

Doha: Saurav Ghosal on Tuesday was knocked out of the Qatar Classic, a PSA World tour platinum event as Egypt’s Al Farag, the second seed and also ranked two in the World defeated him 12-10, 11-4, 11-6 to make it to the quarterfinal.

Saurav Ghosal looked really determined at the start as he took a 7-10 lead in the first game against the world number 2 Al Farag. But it was Al Farag’s Experience and his class that he won the next 5 points consecutively and won the first game 12-10 remarkably. This left Ghosal stunned as it affected the Ghosal’s performance in the remaining match and he lost the next rounds by 11-4 and 11-6 respectively.

Saurav Ghosal’s Disappointing run against the Egyptians continue as he lost a third match against them in 3 consecutive tournaments now. Last month he lost a third round match to Karim Abdel Gawad at Channel VAS Championship 2018 and Mohammed Elshorbagy at US Open 2018.
